Hello Extra Credit Seekers!!

These two videos are from the Reduced Shakespeare Company, a comical theater troop's play which attempts to cover the entire works of Shakespeare in a single play. Watch the 2 part video and write a 10 sentence paragraph explaining what you liked and disliked about the videoes.

Warrning, it is a touch "adult" in some of its jokes, so only watch if your parents say its okay.

Act Worksheets: Here are the worksheet (packets) that correspond with each Act in the play. These will make up a significant portion of your grade, so stay on top of them, please.

Shakespeare Help (I Needeth Somebody!!): Web help for those who need a bit more assistance, or who are trying to work at home.

Act by act, scene by scene summary of the play.
Read prior to class.

Line by line modern "translation" of the play.
Good for understanding quotes.

The entire works of William Shakespeare.

Thematic Quotes from "Romeo and Juliet"
These are the quotes we are keeping track of that might help you when it comes time to write our essays and complete our projects.
Movie Comparisions: As we've been watching the two differnt versions of "Romeo and Juliet" I have asked you to take notes that compare the films and ask you to look at them as seperate interpretations of the same text. The following links will take you to copies of the charts I've asked you to make & keep as well as write paragraphs about.

Movie Make Up: for those of you that missed watching the movie in class do the following assignments. Go to the following YouTube Clips and watch them both. After you are done, write me two short paragrahs (one per clip) about how the emotial core of the two videos are similar/alike, and how the directors & actors interpretation of the scene changes its meaning/impact.

Act III - The death of Mercutio & Tybalt

Act IV - Act V -

Essay Work: Instead of one giant essay, we will write 3 "mini essays" and then combine them afterwards into one larger essay. This will allow us to focus on "Ideas & Content" as well as your transitions between ideas.
